Hired roman columns broke the mold for the best yet unseen
They held my four fingers high as I inhaled deep breathes of mold,
Maybe it was mildew
Can't say that I cared much for those buildings built back in the day
The Romans killed people for their government and their columns
Seven strong singles for one night of work on the old liver my dear child
Can't we be excused dear Romans from that dead world I really don't care about?
Not the dead, that is, but dead enough that they need to stand on a column and shout -
"We're back here! We sold you that flask of rum! And now we need to recycle the glass!"
Go be a pirate you scoundrel from the days when they devised Republic
But I can't stop looking at you and wondering how you got so big
