It was only the second time in Caniglia Field history that a game went to overtime, yet senior quarterback Greg Wunderlich and the Mavs played like they had been there before. UNO held Pittsburg State to a field goal before scoring the game-winning touchdown on a play-action pass to defeat the Gorillas 31-28 Saturday.

The UNO soccer team won their fourth game in a row and eight of their last nine when they shut out the Missouri Southern Lions 1-0 on Thursday at Creighton's Morrison Stadium. The Mavs improved to 13-4-1 overall and 12-1-1 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association with two more games left on the schedule.

The Mavs' hockey team earned their first conference victory of the season when they defeated Bowling Green 3-1 on Halloween night. The Mavs improved to 4-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Bowling Green slips to 0-5-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the CCHA.
