Students signed up for the university's text message alert system might have heard their phones chirp, buzz or ring Thursday afternoon. "Campus Security received two reports Oct. 30 of men knocking on UV doors claiming they were RAs," according to the first alert.

Blog, newscasts to give students chance to cover historic election

Anyone looking for a local perspective on today's historic election can join UNO students who are covering the election live tonight on television, radio and online. Almost 50 UNO communications students, along with the staff of UNO Television and School of Communication faculty, are coming together to provide a real-life learning opportunity for students, as well as an alternative news outlet for the Omaha community.

Wednesday, Oct. 29 1:06 a.m. While on patrol, Campus Security observed a vehicle run a stop sign near Lot 12. Further investigation discovered controlled substance violations. One student was cited for two counts of controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Man accused of stalking returns to campus

A man previously arrested after keying his ex-girlfriend's car in a UNO parking garage was found following the UNO student on campus last week. The man, whose identity is being withheld to avoid identifying the victim, had been transported to jail on Oct.
