LINCOLN, Neb. - UNO freshmen are working fewer hours than last year, while more seniors are working more, according to survey results announced at the University of Nebraska Board of Regents meeting on Friday.
Only 33 percent of UNO freshmen reported working 20 or more hours per week, compared with 41 percent last year, according to results from the National Survey of Student Engagement.

Students, faculty, alumni and staff gathered in the recital hall of the Strauss Performing Arts Center on Wednesday to hear UNO Chancellor John Christensen give his State of the University address for 2009.
Christensen's speech titled "101 Years: Writing the Next Chapter" focused on the accomplishments UNO has made this year, and also outlined future goals.

The annual job fair being held at the UNO is a massive magnet for young, career-bound college students. The event will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom, located on the second floor.
